Google Translate doesn't perform well in English Arabic translation, unfortunately. Fortunately.

He  who knows what translation is wouldn't be surprised.

Difficulties in translation may arise from language, culture, and other aspects related to translation product and process.

Most glaring mistakes (not only in translation but also in life) come from having more than one option). So when a source word has two meanings in the target language, you need a human to take a decision.

Google Translate translates:

Back translation (Arabic translated): Conspiracy for sale.

The Arabic and English of this phrase was seen on a signboard for selling a land.

Let's dig deeper.
And take an example which can demonstrate what really happens during translating. Let's be extreme in our example and try to translate a sentence that has certain linguistic characteristic.

In translation, strange things happen. One could become three. Wonder how? How does the sentence ‘The word ‘I’ has one letter,’ translate into Arabic?
This way: ‘أنا كلمة من ثلاثة أحرف’. (Back translation: 'Ana' is a word of three letters).
Google Translate translates:

Back translation: The word I has one message (not even letter).

You can improve on Google Translate's translation and correct to 'letter" not 'message'. But the sentence would be still wrong. Why? because 'ana' has three letters not one. (Ana is the equivalent of 'I'.)

Sometimes, you can tell why Google Translate behaves this way.
In others, you would never know.

Translation is a dilemma even for qualified experienced human translators.
